Well, first off, apologies for lack of pics leading up to this but I thought she was being hammered by mites but actually she`s done alright considering. Mega hard, dense buds throughout. The frame really helped structure 12 good stems though forgot to take pics before starting harvest. I`m very pleased with her. LSD has another fortnight I reckon...so, these are all pics of the Pretty Lights and I do like dense buds and these are fine ones to boot so I`m a happy camper...waffling here so I`m off...

"That is not any ole plastic bowl. That is a Lyons Maid Chocolate Sundae Ice Cream Dessert Collection plastic bowl. Sugar with a hint of moisture . Makes Spam Fritters seem elegant"

My wife would have that plastic in recycling. She is determined to single handedly save the planet. The Chinese are not even taking plastic any longer. While the vast majority of humanity are daily adding to the gargantuan floating oceanic plastic islands she stands solidly by her commitment. In my view the planet was lost long ago, and "resistance is futile". All that is needed now is the coup de grace to finish off once lovely Minerva. Anyway it is good to see you making use of that goddamn plastic mate. Have you had a taste yet of your Pretty Lights?

starramus Hi mate, no but I tried the Peyote Critical- strong and that was pre-jarring so pleased with outcome. Your wife is to be commended indeed. I still think with headspaces like that we are still in hopefully with a fighting chance. Fair shout to her mate, love her attitude. Hope you both have a great New Year together

      Great color on those buds.
I hear ya about the rain, that's about all we get too. I can tolerate it, just don't like those dark days when it rains non-stop.
The snow looks good on the local mountains.

ZigZag I had a strain called Red Dragon which they had highlighted as not for those with anxiety. Could this have been a promo slogan I thought? It turned out okay though I was a tad wary. This though has.....`Pretty Lights is a potent Northern Lights X Belladonna cross with Indica-dominant genetics & Sativa-like head highs. Anyone with anxiety issues or even slight paranoia should stay far, far away & even the most tolerant should only enjoy in moderation until they know how much they can handle without a problem. You have been warned! `...ummmm paranoia and anxiety issues. I`m getting that way just wondering now if I`m being paranoid about being paranoid. Need caffine me thinks. Below is a link to the strain`s info for you mate. Thanks for the nice feedback-appreciated. Cheers
Pretty Lights might have a cute name, but she's also got serious power! With a full 20% THC & a buttload of psychedelic power, this is one feminized seed that won't be trifled with. Enjoy in moderation unless you're highly experienced with this type of weed seed. Once she takes hold of your mind, she won't want to let it go - ever!

My yields are on the low side which I`m slowly getting up and I got just over 2.5 ounces with this on a first grow which for me is good. Reckon, a clean run, no mites...could get up to 3 next time. Would be higher I believe but I`ve got to get to that skill set. Saying that, hopefully I`m getting there. Happy New Year mate

Ah LurkingInTheGrass that looks nice mate and reminds me of that bleak, barren wasteland called Wales. Can`t be Wales though, too much sunlight. That`s a nice neck of the woods mate, I do like it and also suddenly seem to be molting out of my beard as I type. Strange. Anyway, nice mate, do like

Yeah, its about a 5 minute walk. Looking NW_NE_ hoping for some aurora action this weekend, the best views are often to the NE in our "neck of the woods"!

You must be in Alaska anticipating Aurora Borealis. I've only seen them once live. Pretty rare in the lower 48. Beautiful video done by a guy in Tromso, Norway. https://vimeo.com/21419634

PaganRich_ yup, thats my playground back there in the mountains. It is awesome_ About a 1000 sq miles of ice, granite and snow! This last Spring I planted a handful of old seeds in the alpine
on the mt. on the left... but alas...nothing happened...unless something ate them!
They were old seeds anyway so no great loss...I have another place picked out to drop some seed this next Spring_ lower elevation. Going to pick the most rain proof strain I can find...got any ideas?

Thanks for the tips_ I'm gonna check out both of those and probably order a pack or two. The biggest challenge here is a wet fall....major bummer for outdoor crops. But it would still be cool to try. And if they make it next summer then maybe I'll try an outdoor breeding program...haha...good luck with that!

At that altitude I wouldn't bet on any successes. What is your altitude by the way. Those Peaks look like fourteeners.

starramus_ naw, I start at sea level so they're only about 5000-7000'. Plenty of a challenge for me! My concern isn't altitude so much as geographic location....my part of the state is considered a "rain forest" even though we're at about the 59th parallel_ mostly its the wet fall_ concerned about bud rot and such. A friend tried growing some young seedlings in a green house this Spring but started too early when it was still getting down into the 50's at night and stunted the plants so they were very tiny and spindly...not looking like a very good chance at success but who knows? if we have a good summer and Fall then maybe luck will be on my side? As long as the deer and bear don't find it a delicacy! I tried answering your email but something seems to have gone wrong. I'll try again...

I have been battling mites for just under 4 months now. I feel 90% confident that the veg tent is contained and mite free. I had to use a chemical pesticide which was amazing until after I read about what it did to the mites then I felt bloody guilty-can`t move limbs and slowly starve to death-terrible. However got just the 4 girls in my main tent, 2 are free, I is almost free but eggs still remain, the tent has been regularly cleaned and treated however the 4th lass is budded and so, no pesticide and these little fuckers have now set up base camp on the buds themselves and my non-chem apps cant be used and the alcohol/water sol`n is now ineffective. Decision: Harvest. So I have taken the LSD out to salvage. There were a smattering of ambers. At this rate I might shut down in March and take 6 months off and go easy on my stock til I start again. Very frustrating but I do respect them. Truly indomitable little fighters. Like having a pack of hard core ninjas squatting in there. Anyway, yield is a poor reflection to what this lass should`ve done but hey ho. That`s the end of this grow report. Not fantastic but realistic and that`s what counts

my friend - wishing you some bug free months (I don't know when the wish will arrive, likely during any growing hiatus)

maybe - the bugs are the last of 2018 woes, and 2019 is looking up
